OPI’s holiday 2016 collection is finally here! The collection is called OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s and contains 12 gorgeous nail polishes. Below you’ll find swatches of them all and if you can’t decide which ones to get, continue reading for my OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s review. For bigger pictures, just click on the pictures and open them in a new tab.
The OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s collection is inspired by Audrey Hepburn, her style and glamour and the fashionable film Breakfast at Tiffany’s. If you’re interested in buying any of the polishes, you can find them on the following web shops:
OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s – the polish with the same name as the collection – is an off white shade with lots of shimmer (click on the picture and zoom to see it). The formula is a bit sheer, I applied two coats and as you can see, it is not fully opaque. I think this one is really pretty and is suitable for many occasions.
OPI I believe in Manicures is a light blue polish which I guess is inspired by the Tiffany blue shade (however, it is not the same exact shade). This is a creme polish and two coats give full coverage. A pretty color but I’ve seen some similar polishes from OPI before. For example Sailing & Nailing from the OPI Retro Summer collection.
OPI Got the Mean Reds is a true holiday red which I think is the perfect Christmas polish. The formula is very good, it’s a creme polish and is fully opaque in two coats.
OPI Can’t Read Without My Lipstick is a dark, dark red polish which is fully opaque in two coats. It’s a creme polish and it’s absolutely stunning!
OPI Meet My ”Decorator” is a light red creme polish, slightly on the orange side. I don’t really like the formula of this one. It was difficult to get even and I needed to apply three coats to get full coverage.
OPI Rich & Brazilian is my favorite in the collection. It is a dark purple polish with pink/purple shimmer. Two coats give full coverage and this polish is GORGEOUS!
OPI Black Dress Not Optional is a shimmery, black shade which is fully opaque in two coats. The formula is quite sheer and when I first applied it I thought I would need three coats to get it even. However, the second coat gave full coverage and evened out the surface. The polish is pretty, but I have a feeling there are lots of similar shades out there.
OPI Fire Escape Rendezvous is a light red polish with large glitter chunks. I don’t get this polish. It looks very pretty in the bottle but on the nails it looks just messy and bumpy. I had high hopes for this one but unfortunately, I think the collection would be better off without it. Two coats gave full coverage.
OPI Five-and-Ten is an interesting polish. The formula is very sheer, it’s not supposed to be a full coverage polish but it doesn’t feel like a glitter top coat either. It’s a silver polish with pink and silver shimmer and unfortunately it is not really in my taste. I think I would have liked it better in a less sheer formula.
OPI Apartment for Two is a hot pink creme polish which is fully opaque in two coats. I think this is a fun addition to the collection – who says Christmas must be red?
OPI Sunrise… Bedtime! is a glitter top coat with mostly pink glitters, but also a lot of multicolored glitter pieces. Here I applied one coat over OPI Apartment for Two and I think it is super pretty! You can use this polish without a base color as well but it will not be fully opaque.
OPI Champagne for Breakfast is the last polish in the collection. It is similar to OPI Sunrise… Bedtime! but it has mostly silver glitters (instead of pink), and a lot of multicolored glitter pieces. Here I applied one coat over OPI Got the Mean Reds. As with the previous glitter top coat, you can use this one without a base color but it won’t be fully opaque.
I hope you liked my swatches of the OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s collection! As previously mentioned, you can find the polishes on the following web shops:
