Essie has released some lovely polishes for this spring! The collection is called Ballet Nudes by Essie and consists of six dreamy polishes and a top coat. The polishes have the gel couture formula – meaning they are gel-like polishes which will last for up to 12 days but no UV-lamp is needed and they come off with regular polish remover. Sounds great huh?
The mix of colors in the Ballet Nudes by Essie collection is perfect – exactly my taste! For the swatches I applied two coats, but when I apply the polishes on my real nails I sometimes need three coats to get the polish even. However, with the top coat, the polishes last really well. I wore the shade ‘lace me up’ for two weeks and it lasted surprisingly well – only some minor chipping the last days. I must warn you though, I forgot to apply a base coat underneath the polish and it stained my nails really bad. So make sure to use a good base coat to avoid getting yellow nails.
Satin slipper: flawlessly feminine, perpetually pretty. This graceful silky champagne ivory is always on pointe.
Lace me up: slip on this misty rose pink, and dance your way to greatness with eternal chic.
Hold the position: power meets poise. In this fierce coral peach pink, have it all without moving a muscle.
At the barre: here’s some fancy footwork: get a leg up on the competition in this soft cinnamon nude.
Perfect posture: hold your head up high when the curtain opens on this periwinkle powder blue.
Closing night: bring the house down when you spin, twirl and take a bow in this soft shimmer gray. Brava!
