The OPI Fiji collection has just launched and I must say it’s a gorgeous spring/summer collection with lots of fun shades! There are twelve polishes altogether, and in this blog post I’ll show you swatches of the first four shades. Don’t forget to check out part 2 and part 3 as well!
OPI Polly Want a Lacquer? from the OPI Fiji collection
First we have this lovely light pastel purple polish called OPI Polly Want a Lacquer? It’s a creme formula and I think it’s a gorgeous shade for spring! What you should know however, is that the formula is very thin and I needed to apply 3 coats for full coverage. It was a bit difficult to get an even finish and the polish had a tendency to run down onto the cuticles.
Next is this grey polish called OPI I Can Never Hut Up. I really like this color, it’s a good contrast to the more colorful polishes in the collection. The polish has a tiny bit of light blue shimmer in it but you can barely see it on the nails. Two coats give full coverage and I like the formula. It is easy to get an even result and I really like this polish as an everyday shade.
This one is called OPI Two-timing the Zones and it’s a classic bright pink creme polish that every summer collection needs! Unfortunately I didn’t like the formula of this one, it was a bit difficult to get even. It covered well in two coats but I needed a third coat to even out the polish.
The last polish for part 1 of the OPI Fiji swatches is OPI Do You Sea What I Sea? It’s a lovely blue shade with LOTS of shimmer! I was actually surprised over how thin the formula is, but it still covered pretty well. If you’re not as picky as I am, you can get away with 2 coats, but I applied a third coat to get it fully opaque. I absolutely love this shade and I think it will look stunning on the beach in the middle of the summer!

IsaDora is going for pink tones in their Spring Make-up 2017 collection and I’m definitely not complaining! For this super simple, graphic manicure I used two of the shades – 544 Nude Altitude with matte top coat and 546 Cool Mauve. I think these shades go beautifully together!
There are three nail polishes in the IsaDora Spring 2017 collection and they’re all GORGEOUS! It’s actually one of my favorite collections for nail polishes in a while, so stay tuned for swatches of them all!
Last Friday I was in Stockholm for a super fun event with IsaDora and RMPR! The event was held before the 2017 Elle gala and we had the most beautiful suite at Grand Hôtel to work in. There was about 15 fashion bloggers, stylists and journalists invited to the event where I, together with two makeup artists (Ellinor and Evelina) and two hair stylists (Hillewi and Carolina), glammed up the guests for the gala. Thank you to everyone involved for a super glamorous day!
I’ve got so many pictures from this event thanks to the photographer Jennifer Kivinen. Let’s take a look at them!
The suite at Grand Hôtel was absolutely gorgeous!
Niklas Berglind wearing IsaDora chrome nails (spring news!). Don’t worry though – the excess glitter powder is easily cleaned up.
